Advanced Orchestra
REQUIREMENTS
The Advanced Orchestra is a performing ensemble designed for the students aspiring to learn advanced skills necessary to participate in the Chamber Orchestra. Students learn Advanced literature and perform 3-4 concerts per school year. Students are expected to be proficient in first position, and knowledgeable in third position.
2026-2027 AUDITION PROCESS AND MATERIALS
All auditions for the 2026-2027 Performing Year will be held on February 28, 2026. Auditions will be held in person at Baton Rouge Magnet High School.

Placement auditions are based on performance ability and music theory knowledge. It is imperative that student musicians are placed in the ensemble that will benefit them the most.
